Outboard Motor Size

Post by louie-arecco »

Hello everyone, We browsed enough postings to realize that we need a 25 inches shaft. However, it looks like our bracket drops so far down, that what we need is a 15 inches. It seems that even if we were to pull it up when sailing, the 20 and 25 inches will continue to be in the water. The width of the inside of the bracket is about 7 inches which seems very narrow too. Also, if it is so low, would this make it difficult to use the controls such as speed. While docking this could be challenging. We have attached pictures in hope that someone with more experience can let us know what size shaft I should purchase. Here is our number in case it is easier that way. 262-515-8808. Thanks.
