Launching from a crane

Hi Everyone,

The sailing club I'm joining has a crane which they use to launch various boats which are more racing types. They said not all boats can be launched this way, and even one person lost their boat using the crane. Has anyone ever launched their c20 using straps and a crane? There is a boat launch nearby, but not that nearby, so I'm just exploring the idea.

I have never launched a boat with a crane but there are lots of c22 and c26 that have been if you search the forum . If the crane is rigged correctly there should be no problem.
