Making your Boat cushions

Post by mga1951 »

Morning,
I have seen many of you talking about making your own cushions.
We have just about finished ours. Will show pics when done.

Here is a tip I learned many years ago customizing vans. (back in the "60's)
When you are ready to cut your foam.
Borrow your wifes Electric Knife, the one you use for the turkey.
It will cut like butter. We would also use the knife to cut our carpets and naugahyde as well.

try it out it works great.

Ya know, I'd LOVE some step by step instructions on how to make the cushions.

You know, how to cut ech piece, over measuring, tips on assembly, etc
OR maybe you are aware of a link that show how to make cushions?
:)

If you have any desire to document the process, I would fore sure read it!!

To add to Scott's list, how do you select the foam, density, and other characteristics.
