Weather

Post by Wag4513 »

I know you folks up north are still in winter. However, the weather here in Dallas, TX is just cruel. This week it was in the 70s and 80s. For the weekend we are looking at highs in the 50s. We have been on this seven day cycle for weeks.

Rather have your system. In Calgary, Alberta, Canada, the ice is still a foot thick with snow flurries, and the temp lately has been hovering around -31 C with windchill. They've got us brainwashed with this metric crap here, but that must be around -28 or -29 degrees below zero F. Can only dream of sailing through these sites.
Brrrrrrrrrrrrr

I am on Lake Whitney, a couple of hours south of Dallas. The nice weather has gotten me back to work on my C22. But if we do not get some rain, I am going to have to install wheels. I really like working on the boat in a T shirt and shorts in February, now if I just had a nice sea breeze, some palm trees, and a hot sand beach...

I can second the motion on weather in Dallas lately, I just spent the last three months moving cargo out of our Dallas terminal through out the Midwest and one day it would be 70 the next the roads would be covered in ice.......but the water ways are not frozen, so that's no excuse, get out on the water and have some fun :) There are far more areas to go sailing in the Midwest than I had imagined.
