I went and met with a Hunter dealer last night and got a quote on a new Hunter 27. OUCH!
They have a 2006 they are brokering but the guy wants almost what a new one costs, and won't budge on the price. Hunter has a deal going on right now if you buy a new Hunter 27 or Hunter 27e before Memorial Day, the factory will throw in $10,000 in free Raymarine electronics upgrades.
And I have an appointment Saturday morning to go talk to a guy in my marina that has a 1990 Catalina 28 for sale. (Hull #33). He claims it was the first sailboat in the water on Joe Pool Lake.
The dealer I met with last night (co-ower of La Vida Starships) told me she's also an authorized Tohatsu broker and told me I should let her sell my motor and then just take whatever I can get for the "old boat".

The guy with the Catalina 28 changed his mind and decided he wants to keep it another year or two. I'm supposed to go look at a Capri 26 Thursday afternoon. I've seen the boat in my same marina, and I've had several phone calls and emails with the owner, so hopefully it almost a done deal.
My annual slip lease is due in about 6 weeks, and I'm not wanting to pay 2 slip fees.
