OEM CHRYSLER Logo

Post by skyking »

Does anyone have a clear picture of the original logo that goes on the sides of the boat, back near the stern

I recentally got one fron Alan, but its hard to tell if the letters have lines thru them or if thats something else..

I have a guy that said he can duplicate them fairly easily...

Ihave the diamensions as 3/4" tall x 15" long...

I forgot to measure it before removal, but dimensions could probably be extrapolated from the toe rail slots.

I was planning on making my own for the 22. I have my own vinyl cutter and make lots of graphics for airplanes, boats, and some cars. I don't want to step on the toes of the guy skyking has lined up, but I would be willing to cut Chrysler logos for the cost of shipping. I will match size and color the best I can with the vinyl I have on hand. Like I said, I was going to cut my own anyway.

Dan,

If you can do this thats great, I'm just trying to help a guy get started, but hey, Ive sent him some business, so if you would please hook me up with two of the chrysler logos that Alan has posted...as shown in the link below. I believe that they should be 3/4" tall and 15 1/2" long...preferably a blue or black

http://sports.webshots.com/photo/288758 ... 7341ErJHRx

Let me know what you need for shipping..

Thanks Tim

Tim,

No problem. Give me a day or two and I'll cut some samples and post pics on this thread. As for shipping, probably just a few bucks through USPS. I'll keep you posted.

this is a good thread...

I am about to get my boat paintied and was in a quandry as what to do with the logo... the OEM it is a pretty boring block font.

I was just going to repaint the stripe and say goodbye to the logo ( don't think I would miss it.. )

Has anyone ever figured out what the OEM font is for the logo? :?:

Company in Indy does lettering

Post by mjt »

The folks at this company:

http://www.freelanceindy.com/

did the lettering for me on my C22 - including the new CHRYSLER logo. They do a lot of cars given that they are very, very close to the Brickyard in Indianapolis so I guess doing a CHRYSLER logo wasn't difficult for them.

I don't know the font name, but it is very close and they probably have the dimensions and font saved in their computers from when they did it for me.

Although I dont have the prices yet, here is the e-mail address for the graphic designer..

Chuck Brommer [a_discount_sign_co@yahoo.com]

If you use " Chrysler Sailors" as a reference he will know that your getting this information from this forum...

Please note that I have no ties to this up and coming business, other than , he has done some nice work at a very reasonable price...

Here is my first shot at the logo. It isn't the right font, but it's not bad. I could trace the original, but it will take a few hours that I don't have right now. (Getting married in a week)

Here is the link to the new vs. original.

I don't know how to add photos directly to the post. I'm going to give this a shot.

ahh.. Thats easy. Thanks Richard

As you all can see, the font is wrong. Does anyone have a lead on a font that is closer to the original? If I can't find a font, I'll trace it sometime next week.

The font may not be exact but you could not get much closer without being 100% spot on. This is closer then I thought I would ever get on my own.

Thanks
