You-Tube / Video Links
Think we need to start a link to video list...
OK here it is... the un-official official links to our video's, and please feel free to add yours!!
Here's my first one:

Here's J42goose's:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UEUm9IDeUbc
I sit here on 1-1-01 at work and watched mine again,, ok maybe twice but it's slow here at the moment. At home I'm in the process of loading all my 2009 sailing video into the PC to edit for an hour long DVD, maybe a double set. I'll put more clips onto you-tube eventually...

Oh man, thanks Bill, I was looking for your YouTube video last week and could not find it. I found J42goose's that day but yours eluded me. Seems I'm missing 2 more, one was in a hanger being worked on and there was another one, I think a C-26 sailing around Florida somewhere.
I still need to make my video. Who else has Chrysler Video links? Too cold to sail right now, must sail vicariously with your videos please.
Thanks
Alan

Just out sailing by myself in some windy weather, I was standing on the side of the wheel post much of the time to keep from sliding across the cockpit.

This is my favorite, takes a while to watch them all and catch up to where he is now but it is well worth it.

She sure did, she is a perfect goal for all that have the blue hull (76ish).
Couldn't resist using her as a model boat.

Yeah the video is probably funnier for people who understand what is said, my friends did a great job of video editing to make scenes fit with the movie pub.
Sorry I have not gave you much news about my trip. We finally went to Cuba for a month before going back north following the USA east coast, partly by intracoastal and partly on open ocean. Longest passage was between Norfolk and New-York, and biggest sea was just before Beaufort (North Carolina) with 30-35 kt wind in shallow ocean water... we lost the dinghy that day, but the Chrysler did just well, surfing down waves with full genny and reefed main. Those boat are great! Sadly I sold it... not sure it was the smartest decision I made!

C-22 Mast Raising Video
It's a bit shaky,, Pam was walking around giving us a hard time, but hope it helps,, I'll do a more informative one with the raising this season...
As the mast comes up you can see how the transition from gin pole to mast is supported by the pivoting bridle set up to each...

My chainplate are somewhat stronger than original and i'm glad I did it, the stock is clearly not well designed. I have similar bracket for the backstay too, see: http://www.chryslersailors.com/discussi ... highlight=NYCSAILOR wrote:How was the chainplates? are we going overboard worrying about them being a weak point... also rudder post? any other weak...leaking points to fix, attend to that REALY matter ... deck step? other leaks? any improvements you did ( wish you did )
My rudder post is also modified and have never seen original so cannot comment
A simple modification that is somewhat important is to reinforce the mast at the spreaders, so that the lateral pressure from spreaders push them one agains the other instead of trying to compress the hollow mast.
Mast post is not exactly bombproof but proved sufficient. Tough that would be my next thing to beef up if I had kept the boat
So nothing new, these boat have a few flaw that are well know, the rest of the boat is just fine
I just added my 4th of July video to You-tube here:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0ePYP44PZyE
The gust that almost blew us over and turns us around is at 3 mins. Again the camera is in a waterproof housing mounted on my stern with a fisheye lens on it.
We had the jib in a lil tight after a 30 mpg gust earlier and I was attempting to keep pointed downwind to block the jib with the main. Watch the backgound as the boat heels over... OK I know it was too much canvas for 40mph wind but we were having a pretty mellow downwind run before that came outta nowhere and it wasn't forecast to get that high. Oh well...
I decided to post this in the "Video Link" thread to get this up were the newer folks might see it if they haven't already found it...
