New carpet for bunks on the C22 trailer

I'm looking to replace the rotted green astro turf

on my trailer bunks.
The bunks are 12' (144") 2x6's.
Looking around I finding that most standard bunk carpet to cover 2x4's.

1. What have folks been using to cover there bunks?
2. Does the commercial bunk carpet sold to cover a 144" bunk give you extra to wrap around the ends?
3. Where is a good recource to obtain carpet, I'd like to get blue to accent the boat trim.

Got mine here, I am sure many places sell it and I am not sure regular indoor outdoor carpet would not be just as good..........my bunks are 2X6

Last time I recovered bunks I used carpet reminants from a local carpet store. Lowes sells some nice looking outdoor carpet. It comes in blue and gray. Trunk carpet works good too.

I used indoor /outdoor on mine and a few other boat trailers that we had...never had any problems, and you can have it cut to whatever length you need...

Forget the carpet! When my carpet went bad on my Venture trailers I replaced it with UHMW. It will be permanent and the boat slides on and off the trailer easier. I used 3/8" thick by 6" wide and through bolted it to the bunk. I countersunk the material and used 1/4" stainless flathead screws with washers and nylock nuts.

I got the UHMW from Mcmaster. It comes in 6'lengths.
