Taking time to go sailing

Post by Capt. Bondo »

I'm taking the week off from work to get some stuff done around the house. But just a couple hours of sailing makes it a vacation :D
Spent a couple hours replacing a front wheel brearing in the 2000 Impala,
Did the dishes.
Loaded the van with the newely recovered v-birth cushions and the pop-up top inclosure project and headed for the marina.
After the a little rain this morning, the clouds cleared and NNW winds 20 to 25 beckened.
Wife and I hanked on the 90 jib and a reef in the main, and enjoyed 2 hours of sailing, with little traffic on the river to dodge 8).
Afer returning to the marina, we fit the pop-up inclosure and attached the velcro to the top inside of the pop-top. Couple little alturatons, and figuring out how to incorporate companion way hatch opening, and that sub project will be done. (pics to come when complete)
Grabed dinner on the way home, then mowed the lawn before dark.

All in All a busy day, but I went sailing so that made it a vacation day :)
