These folks may sail around the world by the time the ice breaks up on the St. Croix River.

Hey Bondo, thanks much for the St. Croix status report! I've been trying to catch any news of the ice and water levels. How is the water level? Anything like how high it was last September? When do you think you'll splash your boat this year?

Actually bought some stuff for the boat today and have been working on some fix up projects recently.

I too spent the winter scouring Youtube for sailing vids...that and literally looking through every page of the West Marine catalog that I got in the mail a couple of months ago :P

Wow...I spent the winter in the woods, hunting and cutting firewood, cross country skiing, made a trip to Wisconsin with my two adult sons and skied for 4 days, read about 10 good books, worked on my sports cars, played music in and out of church, tied flys, fished for winter trout, cast bullets, reloaded ammo, refinished a pair of classic wooden cross country skis, restored a vintge bamboo fly rod and sulked...wishing it were warm enough to sail!

Today I uncover the little Widgeon and may have it on the water later in the week.
There is no right way to do a wrong thing
