Before and After - EE's little sis
Taking EE's little sis back to the lake tomorrow, which means a boat to sail at the lake, and time to finish up some projects on EE so she can get back to larger waters !!
So here's a clickable of before
And one of after...
Gutted and rebuilt inside
Dropped and repaired keel
Built a new forehatch
Built new companionway boards
Refinished teak rails
Added full nav lights
Added interior lighting and comfort items
Added a vented lazarette for a fuel tank
Added new outboard mount
2 coats primer
5 coats Brightsides Sapphire Blue, mostly sanded off due to lack of talent by me.
Still to go, painting the deck offwhite and nonskid a light beige..

Nice work. How about some interior pics, too?

Very nice job. the paint job looks great. Was it sprayed, brushed, or rolled? Does she have a swing keel? Looks very much like my Venture 22s. I'll have to post pics of my gudgeon mount mast support for trailering. I also made a rudder cradle on the trailer frame up foward. It saves loading it in the cockpit or cabin.

Clair, it was rolled and tipped. Doesn't look that perfect up close, lol, but I'm happy with it. Its probably a bit smaller inside than the Venture 22, just the 2 side banquettes, a bit of storage area on either side of the keel trunk, then a small vberth..weighs a bit less at 1100 pounds or so..
All, until I get pics, here's a link to an ad with some photos of the bare bones so you get the idea..thanks for the nice comments, she's certainly different than she was last November !!

Here are the pics of my rudder cradle and my mast support. I made the rudder cradle from scrap steel I welded together. I made it a bolt on. The rudder is heavy and now I don't have to lift it up into the boat. It also eliminates the blue bottom paint marks in the cockpit and cabin.
The mast support is mde from 2x2 P.T. lumber from Lowes. I used bolts that drop in the gudgeons an nut them so they don't bounce out. I put a piece of PVC pipe over the top crosspiece to act as a roller to slide the mast fore or aft when stepping. Venture South came with an OE support made of 1x1 steel tube. It only has a yoke up top, no roller. Not as user friendly but that mast stays up all the time.
I've seen trailers set up with the rudder on one side and the outboard on the other. The motor was locked in place with a fitted cover on it
