Overnight
Overnight
I've had my 22 for two years now, and tonight will be the first overnight. She is in a marina on Lake Conroe (north of Houston). We had an 80 degree afternoon. Lots of scrubbing inside and sanding to prepare hatch for refinishing. New 5 hp honda motor on the mount. Now laying on deck in shorts and t-shirt, iPad in hand scanning the forum, and looking at a beautiful moon.

Very cool, oh, 80 degrees, very warm.
Sounds good to me, looking forward to some warm days here to do the same thing.
Thanks
Alan

Excellent! I'm going after work today for about 6 hours. Expecting 78-80 degrees with southerlies of 8-10 with gusts to 15. The only question remaining is which headsail to hank on when I get there. I was really fortunate that my boat came with a 170. That thing really makes a difference in light air. I don't think I'll be needing it today though. Today calls for the 150 I believe.

Doing an overnight sounds great; I'll try it myself one day. It may not count but with the limited time I have to work on my c26, I've pulled a couple of all nighters now and then in the backyard falling asleep on the settee juggling in my head just what part of the project to tackle next.

AAAhhhh a overnighter....
A billion stars in the sky
The soothing sound of waves lapping against the hull, as the boat slowly swings at anchor
A pleasent conversation with the first mate over a bottle of wine

I CAN"T WAIT UNTIL THE ICE MELTS

Got up to 73 Deg here today and I spent the afternoon on the lake. Good winds and clear sky toward the end of the day. I did spend the first over nigher on mine a couple of days ago but 80 deg, afraid not, had to take the small heater and slide deep into the sleeping bag. Still, it was great.

Ground to windward is dearly bought, but easly spent.

... and I said to myself, "Spring has arrived and there is no sign of precept in the forseeable forcast." So I towed the boat home and slipped the winter tarp off. That night it rained, and my port lights leak. Took them out the next day cleaned everything up and mounted them back the day after, and awoke to 3" of wet snow this morning. It's Denver.
