swing keel lock down bolt replacement

Post by Banshi »

How many of you guys have one, how many use it and has anyone tried to replace or repair it?

The one on my boat was badly corroded and I removed it. The plastic locking bolt may be salvageable but the rest is not.

Mine is about 6 inches above and a foot aft the swing keel support bolt/bracket on the port side. The metal parts where so badly corrodide that I could not even tell how it originally worked beside knowing that it pushed against the keel side using friction to limit motion..
