Outboard controls

Post by dreed »

I just bought a C20 and it has a 10hp Chry. The control cables are shot, has any one replaced theirs with the universal fit with any success. Also looking for a jib, boat didn't come with one.
I Just bought a C20 and need a Jib and engine control cables to start with. What can be used it the original Chr. 10hp long shaft.

For a replacement jib there are many sail options on the web. Just type in jib sail in your search engine. You'll get listings for new or used. As far a the remote control cable goes, I could only wish I had that problem. I think boats our size with remotes are far and few between. I've heard that Chrysler engine products partly morphed into the force brand, but don't quote me on that. Good luck. Jeff

Welcome aboard Dreed!

I bet if you take the controls and cables to a local marine shop they could fashion something up for you.

We don't hear about C20's too much on this forum, but from what I've heard they are a very stable sailboat and lots of fun... welcome to the forum and the fun.
