Yikes, that would totally suck. When you leave a boat at a marina (I'm assuming), ya bess have a fail safe bilge plan or a BIG wad of cash on hand. It's photos like that which make me glad I'm a trailer sailor!

I want a boat that drinks 6, eats 4, and sleeps 2.

Most boats that sink, sink at there dock. One of our members, sailbob2 had his C-26 sink at it's slip. I like to use a house type sump pump one that uses 120 shore power. Thy are cheep, an reliable, bilge pumps, go dead fast. Have a water alarm, so you know when you have a leak.

This guys boat was put in around 2 in the afternoon. He spent about 2 hrs on it then went home. The mast was going to be stepped the next day. when the workers showed up in the morning the boat was under the water.
it was alot of money to get this boat up. I think it was a 31' cs.

I have to agree with Chrysler20%26, I have helped salvage a few boats and most of them have been in there slips at the marina. Usually they are the boats that sit in the slip all year without anyone to look after them...

but then again, there was this time in Oklahoma....

(My apologies for the poor quality photos, they were taken on a Black berry at the time)
