Is it normal on a C-22 for the rudder to be difficult to raise. I just got this thing and don't know diddly about C-22's. The rudder is nice and limber in the cheeks - no binding. But it seems like it takes quite a bit of force to pull it up.
Is it just poor mechanical advantage in the system, and that's the best one can expect?
I've seen the diagram of the line routing, and it looks like brute force is the only answer since the line is pulled around a very small diameter screw shaft that runs thru the cheek pieces.
If so, has anyone successfully installed a shieve for the lines to run thru before they head up the shaft, thus lessening the sharp bend they have to make.
As it is, it just doesn't seem right, and there is no apperant binding anywhere.
Thanks,
John
