Silly question about florida

Post by mrichey »

For the last 3 years my wife and I slipped our Chrysler 22 in a marina on Lake Michigan. It was one of the smallest boats in the marina, but there were other 22 foot boats and everything seemed normal. We've moved to Orlando, FL and I've started looking at marinas (started on the east coast). One I went to yesterday had a 35 ft minimum. Everyone down here seems to have huge boats. Does anyone know of a marina within a 2.5 hour drive of Orlando where a 22 ft boat would be welcome?

Yes I do . I have my c22 located in Saint Cloud Florida . They have a very nice marina with floating docks and key entry . Located on lakeshore Dr next to Crabby Bills restaurant . Only about $800.00 a year for non resident .
Good luck , let me know if I can help .

Lake Monroe marina here in Sanford is nice and we have The Lake Monroe Sailing association with a lot of races/excuses to sail and drink. I have the only Chrysler 22. If you don't mind trailering try The Conch House Marina and resort in St Augustine or about a million other Marinas in Florida will all take you in (most charge as a 30' ) and it is a great way to get to know the state. For inter coastal sailing try around Cocoa or Tampa and Sarasota.
