Post by skyking »

I had to ask, where did you get you user name from?? I look at mine an try to imagine where others got theirs from???

I will start with mine :D

When I was in the Navy, I went to jump school in Coronado Calif, Accelerated Free ...Trust me it was a real chore for me at first to get flat & stable

After a few totally out of control jumps, I finally caught on :D

Before you know it I was hooked, I bought my own parachute and was going out after work just to jump !!!

That is how I picked up the nickname" Sky King"

ok its your turn

Obviously I'm unimaginative in this regard with EE as mine!

Now, I am sure he will provide details himself, but I can tell you when I opened Capt. Scott's registration form I had him pegged on his username right away!

Yep!
You pegged me on the first try!! LOL!

If you are truly curious as to my forum name . . . .
My wife and I are avid Corvette fans. Sorry, not the boat, the car!

I own a 1969 Corvette and that is my name on several Corvette forums that I belong to. I'm an Admin on another Corvette site.

Click to see two of my non Chrysler loves

Anyone interest in that aspect of me or the cars can ping me privately as to not bore the entire forum.

Note the strategically placed red bungee cords, I use these to take up the slack on the way down and up since I almost always step my mast alone.

klassi1 = my horse's first name. Which was my first email ID on Juno email in the early 90s. Is Juno still around? Amazing how things stick with you.

Mines easy,,,

At work we use pack clips with our initials to ID who last checked that pack, first initial of first name, first 2 letters of last name, so mine is BHa...

"Curly" is the type of horses we have, kinda rare breed that has a curly wool coat...

"Bhacurly" and it is almost always available when I have to come up with a username!

Hey Banshi,

Whats that woodwork look like in your cockpit ? How about some more pictures? I'm in the process of making a nice step for the entry to my cabin, which I will post a picture very soon.

I love wood on a boat as I'm sure most of us do.

Pictures please :D

Betsy Wetsy is the name I gave my C22. It's the pet name my Dad has for my Mom.

I'm the youngest and the favorite in the family, so I thought it would be a good fit.

Hmmmmm must have had two posts open cause the one above went into the wrong place.......................

I try to keep the wood to a minimum what you see in the post is to get the rudder/wheel hardware above the deck to eliminate a water leak at the shaft/hull penetration. I have already changed it but here is a link to what little work I have done in the woodwork area http://www.byershome.net/_Boat/Chrysler/Misc/Misc.htm

As to my username it comes from my days when I played Airwarrior on AOL, I wanted Banshee but it was already taken so I just hacked the spelling.

Mine is also my work email (at the last three companies). I used to use it on several car forums as well.

I signed up here before we actually had a boat, so my name on other boating forums (that I signed up for later) is usually S/V Copacetic. I've been meaning to look into changing it here.

I guess I had left the Boat name out since this seems to be going that way.

"My Time" is something that I consider it to be when I'm on the Boat...

Mine was easy for this forum, my dad had a Chrysler C22 back in the 70's. It was the boat I learned to sail on. So I am a second generation Chrysler C22 owner. I guess a shorter name could have been C22 Jr.

1) because I didn't know I was suppose to come up with a cute screen name.

2) it just happens to be the same name on my drivers license

3) I thought useing an alias's would make people think I have something to hide
4)its easier for me to remember after a few pints of grog

5)Banshee was taken even with different spellings

6) it makes people wonder how a red head has an Italian name.

7)after 4 decades I'm starting to get use to answering to it

8) this way I'm never asked what it means

9)it just shows my lack of creativity

and # 10) I didn't think my p orn name would be appropreate in this forum

My username is different than my boat name in case I were to get another boat.

My username, Leeway, is a play on words for my first name and the boating term. I figure I'm always in the right because it's always my way! :D

My boat name, Sea'Chele (like Seashell), is name after my wife, Michele (Chele for short).

Kokezaru is simple if you read Japanese. I don't, but I stumbled across the word and it fit. It means Foolish Monkey. I thought it appropriate for someone who would by an old boat.
