With the trailer basically ready my attention has turned to the boat. I built mast carriers to get the mast off the pulpit and pushpit. I'm thinking of adding a roller to the stern carrier to make sliding the mast back and forth easier.
I had a bit of a problem figuring out the main sheet arrangement for raising the mast, but I think I have it right now. I ended up using an extra long mainsheet and hooking the two single blocks on the "hooks" on the forestay bracket. I attached the double block to the boom. That seemed to work well for us.
I think in order to streamline the procedure I'll be using a dedicated line instead of one of the genoa sheets. Since we'll be trailering a lot I need to make setup and takedown as quick and convenient as possible.
This was just a dry run, so no splash yet. Hopefully later this week.
