Head Pumpout at RV Sites?

I've been thinking about how convenient it would be to be able to pump out our head at RV type dump stations, especially since there is one right at our interstate exit.
To do this, I figure I need a pump, which I can permanently mount in the line between the deck fitting and the head, and the appropriate hose.
Am I missing anything? Has anyone else done this?

I have the same plan. I do lot ( or did ) of trailering in western Canada, and this dump situation is always the issue.
Using Macerate pump from West Marine ( about 130 bucks )

should do the trick

i have a porta - poti. It sounds like you all have a fixed head with raw water flush and storage tank with Y valve for discharge. Can anyone share pics of their head or set-up, d oyou also fit a small sink in the head? curious how far upscale I could take this small head space... seems a great area for much improvement, as mine is really a simple closet w/ porti-pot but the window there makes for a nice space to upgrade. that is what is most fun of this boat.... it is so full of potential upgrades

My boat has (I believe) the original porta-potti style toilet. It has an integral holding tank but is plumbed to a deck pump out fitting. It looks like the best direct replacement is a Dometic 975 MSD. I'm thinking of going to a regular marine head with separate holding tank in the future, for some extended cruising.
I don't think there's room in there for a sink. Maybe a hand sanitizer dispenser would fit though.

I am thinking of the same upgrade, also for extended crusing and mostly comfort for the ladies. the boat is such a comfortable cruiser for it's size that it is a shame that the head is so downscale. Is the head floor "hollow" ? is it strong enough for a plastic raritan marine head? the very few installs I have seen had the head's hoses all exposed with clips and clamps and poor execution of the storage tank etc, that made the head look even more scary than a porti-poti, but you can't beat the porti poti for simplicity and lightweight

I think you should hook your holding tank up to a macerator pump with a 1 inch outlet out the stern of your boat.
Now hook the macerator pump up to a wireless remote control so you can activate it remotely.
Now picture yourself going down the freeway at exactly the speed limit towing your baby and that idiot is tailgating you and honking his horn . . . . .
heh heh heh!

Legal Note:
I would in no way be indicating a 1 inch stream of black water squirting out the stern of your boat at a tailgater. ( unless he was in a convertible )
