I purchased my boat on a trailer and have not yet placed it in the water.

Can anyone tell me where the low point of the cabin sole is when the boat is floating properly on her waterline?

I have no bilge pump at all and would like to install one if there is a suitable low point in which to place it.

I have to cast a new mast base, check the keel pivot, install a new keel winch cable, and build a new rudder assembly before I put her in the water and check for leaks.

When I get her in the water, I want to leave her there for a while without worrying about her sinking!

I think the lowest point is at the keel bracket, I believe that this is also at the level of the cabin sole, the two are not connected in the Annemarie. I get water in from the rain if it blows sideways through the cabin hatch or leaky windows it just sits in the bottom of the cabin like in a bathtub. I would reccomend a pump that you do not install "permanently" but have the ability to move around if needed. I could be wrong but that's what it looks like to me. PO put a bilge pump in with plumbers putty in the port storage compartment for what reason I don't know.

That's where it appeared to be while sitting on the trailer. So there is basically no good place to put one. I will take your advice and install a portable pump that can be moved around.

Consider a hinged mast step. It will make your life much easier!

Where do I get one? If you have a hinged mast step, do you still need the mast raising bridles?

You will still need the bridles but it makes single handed raising easier.

My boat too leaks a little in the rain. PO thinks it comes from the fuel tank area. I haven't tried to track it down yet.
