Hey, Merry Christmas everyone!
Hope you all get what you'd like, and have a happy and safe holiday regardless.
We didn't actually sail in the solstice here, but my daughter came to visit for 6 days -- she hasn't been around for Christmas since she was 1, so I've already gotten the only present I care about
-- and we did an overnight that involved sunset, a total whiteout, AWOL depth sounder and chart plotter, about 8 inches of fresh snow, a fair bit of wind, a great dinner, 130 deg wind shifts, and some wonderful conversation. Too bloody cold to make a snowman in the AM, although more than enough snow on deck.
