Talk about stumbling on to obscure things....
I was poking around, as usual, and accidently came upon the phrf rating for a Chrysler 22.
I didn't think that anyone had calculated this, but leave it to the northern Californians.
Apparently it is 258.
So according to their charting, a 22(on a 1 mile long drag race) would finish 264 seconds behind a J 125.
Interesting.

That would be a closer finish then the last Americas Cup!
Sorry, could not resist, it was too easy; I'm too loud, and too American.
Thanks

I agree they wanted to go to multi hull and got the shaft but it looked like we had more sail area and that carbon fiber wing did not flex like cloth.

I will definately continue reading the forum. There is such a wealth of knowledge here and a great group of people. I'm pleased with the family I sold my C22 to. They will have many great summer days on the lake.
Being a born again racer...phrf is near and dear as there are not many one design fleets in the area. Ended up buying a Capri 25 with a 174 rating. Traded heavy air performance to light air performance.
Can't wait for Spring to finally get here.
