Greetings from Springfield, Mo.. My name is Wes and I just purchased a C-20 that was homeported in Lafayette, La.. I trailered her home this weekend through some pretty amazing Arkansas hills...my Jeep did yeoman's work but no breakdowns, thankfully - over 1200 miles . The previous owner kept the boat in beautiful shape, for which I am very appreciative. I've owned a few boats before and really look forward to getting my C-20 out on Stockton Lake in north-central Missouri to see how she sails. I've got a few ideas for modifications, but want to get to know her first before diving in. C-20s seem to be a bit rare.... I look forward to meeting fellow C-20 owners (and others) here.
Best regards, Wes....

Hi an welcome to the C-20 fleet. I have a C-20 yello with white strip. Poward by a Honda BF50L (5hp 4 stroke) The C-20 is a veary good sail boat an you will love sailing it. Now that you have loged 1200 on land, it is more fun in the water. Happy Sailing

Welcome, Wes. It is good to have another Chrysler in the midwest. Will you be day sailing or keeping the boat in a slip? I have looked at Stockton Lake a few times in Google earth and wondered what it was like down there for sailing. Do you sail in the northern portion between the bridges?

Thanks all for the welcome.....

I'll be trailer-sailing for now - one of the reasons I bought the boat, since my Jeep could pull it to distant destinations. Stockton is a gorgeous sailing lake, with more sailboats than powerboats and two very nice sail-friendly marinas. I'll also tow her down to Bull Shoals Lake on the Missouri-Arkansas line, where the water is often clear enough to scuba dive, especially along the limestone cliffs. Previously used my tiny AMF Sunbird as a dive vessel - yet another reason for getting the much bigger C-20 and that huge cockpit. I hope to post some photos soon. - Wes

I used to own a Buccaneer. Fast boat! If you're interested in a C-20, I learned of one for sale (of course a few days after I bought mine) that's down in the Branson area. No idea of condition but I can forward a contact if you're interested. Where do you sail up in the Rolla area?

Hope you got some good food while you were down our way picking the C20 up !

The Chrysler powerboat guys have an annual gathering on Stockton, I know they'd welcome seeing you guys with the sails.
