Learned via email from David Kain at ChryslerCrew.com that Al Johnson passed away after a battle with cancer. Al was the plant manager of the Plano, TX facility back in the day.

Might well have walked by and put a hand on that old girl you are sailing.

At peak the plant was under 488,000 square feet of roof, and they had warehouses in Plano and Garland to house the larger sailboats until shipping.

I did not know him but I sure like the work that he and the men and woman who worked for him did on my boat and all the other boats like her with the Chrysler name.
