I can only think of one thing to do this weekend, and its not cutting the lawn or working around the house

What better way to spend a long weekend then on the boat, surrounded by family and friends..

The wife and I are finally going to do an overnighter on the lake, we tried several times last year only to have our plans cancelled at the last minute due to ...you guessed it, the kids had plans

this year the kids are on their own..they both work and drive, so I guess that makes us semi-empty nesters for the tme being

That is what I will be doing, I cut grass 9 hr. yesterday. My yard is vary large. Hope you in joy your boat, happy sailing.

We'll spend tomorrow working on a piece of rental property, tenants move in Friday, then caretake this park we call a lawn....I understand the 9 hours Chrysler....after that I don't know. Maybe just rest as the oldest son and daughter-in-law are leaving this morning after a wonderful 4 day visit. Hopefully take the Bucc out for another sail if there's any wind.

Saturday holds a nice sail on Destiny with my bride, my daughter and her friends.

Sunday and Monday are much different. Each year there is a cruise and car show that spans 2 days and has had over 800 cars arrive for it. I generally do the cruise but have never done the car show. This year will be the first time I do both! I generally don't care for car shows to much because I get bored quickly. I like to go to one but then I like to leave after I see all the cars. With this show and the volume of cars I figured I'd give it a go. I'll be polishing up my old vette on Friday!

The urge to hit the water is strong and the desire for self preservation is weakening........perhaps if the weather is not to threatening.......................................

I'm shooting for my first splash this weekend. I got my lifeline stanchions rebedded Sunday with butyl tape after the epoxy injection and drilling. My shiny new Ida Sailor tiller and new halyard tails and dock lines are supposed to be delivered today. Almost ready!

Hey John, are you launching On Cross Lake ?

We are making a pilgrimage up to our getaway in Tenn., here I can enjoy the privilege of keeping up yet another yard. Don't jump to any conclusions... if there is a spoon in my mouth it's plastic... can we say double mortgage. Not that its all work and no play there will be time to walk the docks of Watauga Lake and dream. Have a nice Memorial Day all.

Gots to put a double sliding door on my boats barn, been some thieving going on here in my neck of the woods.

Watauga ? Why I do believe there be a red C26 that plies those waters !!!

As for EE's crew a quiet Sunday under the cypress trees with Aunt, Uncle and cousins on a small oxbow lake near Ferriday Louisiana. Fried catfish, home made ice cream, chocolate pie. And a nap on the dock.


No boat unless its a Glastron powered by a modified 350cid from a Ford Crown Vic
