So who sails on rivers? Anyone try any of the smaller rivers, such as the Apachacola River Waterway.

St. Johns is where I sail but it is pretty big over 2 miles in some places

Just sailed the Neuse river from Oriental to New Bern 45+nm up and back this weekend, but more about that when I can post pictures.

River sailing can give you a lot of practice tacking, also can be tricky dealing with the wind and the effects that the shoreline can make.
My home sailing ground is Lake St.Croix which is a wide part fo the St. Croix river, 1/4 mile to 2 miles wide and about 12 miles long, so depending on the wind direction you could get a workout or have a nice relaxing day cruse. No real current on Lake St.Croix to deal with

I once sailed on the Mississippi north of Minneapolis on my old Starcraft
Current was was fast running south and there was a strong southerly wind. I could drift down with the current then turn and run with the wind up river. OMG I think I discovered white water sailing that day
I would never try that with the C22 but a Buc would be fun in the right conditions.
