latest weekend cruise

The 1st mate and I cruised from Oriental to New Bern ,got to the marina at about 22:30 Thursday night so just got stowed abaord, quick inspection of everything and I'm sure I was asleep when my head hit the pillow. I like sleeping on the boat.
Friday morning we finished getting everything ready and was casting off around noon, had to swap sailing stories.
2 ft + waves good wind we sailed up the Neuse river
We sailed 21+nm to New Bern were we docked at the Hilton marina ( Like Paris needs my money.
We did get to hear a band from the boat that was playing classic covers.
we started out early with very light winds but being we are sailing a Chrysler we seem to be quicker then most we see out there. In fact we were the only boat out of seven that was sailing the rest was motoring
To get in the marina we went under two bridges and thru one draw.
Both ways went very well we had good winds and nothing went over board but the anchors.
It was humid both day with near 100* index bet we didn't seem to notice.
