Yeah, 5+mb is to much.
Tricky getting the balance between size and speed of animation.
So far everyone says the boat is to slow to cross the picture so I'm currently experimenting with using every third photo and then every 6th photo. Every 6th photo is roughly 24 frames a second but looks jerky to me. Every third looks OK but is still 2.2 mb
I have 702 pictures with Destiny moving 1 pixal at a time. That creates a 20mb gif before optimization. YIKES! LOL!
FYI I'm using "UnFreeze" to make the animation and "Gimp" to create the photos. Both free downloads.
I'm open to any hints, tricks, suggestions, etc.

24 frames a second is plenty fast for smooth motion. Perhaps the jerkyness is caused by the particular software you're using. It's been while since I messed with animation, so sorry I can't be more help.
