Just when things were going good?

Post by Chrysler Cat »

Racing my 1974 Chrysler Cat named Looney Tune in 4ft swells, 20-25 mph winds, I was involved in a collision with a Sonar. Actually we were in the preamble to the start which aggravates me even more. Cracked the rear port pontoon deck and a hole in the side above the waterline. The Sonar's 16 yr. old captain was at fault. This Sonar is a $28,000.00 24ft mono. What was his father thinking? Well we decided to go for it but took on to much water to keep her pointing with just 2 miles to go in a 12 mile race. Beached it on Sand Island and towed her home the next day. The redress I received keeps me second by one point to a Nonsuch 25. 4pts over a Mark I 24ft trimaran. Three races to go to vye for the cup. I can't help but grin at the others when I pass them in a 36 yr. old Chrysler. What a boat and what fun I have had over the years.

Welcome C Cat I hope you can fix or find a replacement Chrysler Musketeer Catamaran. The race thing sounds exciting, with the speed it can sail. Do you have any pictures?
