I know this belongs in the wanted ads but what I need is more information /pictures of the C-30.
I swear its the 1st mate that has 4 foot ITIS , I try to tell her 26' is enough. She things we could handle something in a 30' range. I would be interested at looking at Chryslers C-30 in person.
I have sent her on a few other boats and so far she hasn't like anything better then our C-26 . I know shes thinking space and comfort (more space more junk) but I think shes so hooked now it wouldn't matter if we had to take the C-22 to the Bahamas, shes getting things ready to go
The specs look good if its just a bigger version of the C-26 it would be a nice boat to have.

IIRC the CY-30 was a prototype that was shown just as Chrysler was exiting the scene. Was sold with the others in the line to Texas Marine(TMI) then as a Ticon, but less than forty were built.

I guess it all comes down to what works for each of us. Moving up to 30' or 30'+ indeed has its perks. I myself came very close to buying an older Hunter 30', but with the kids out of the house and wanting the ability to trailer with the least amount of cost and aggravation the c26 won me over. If you take the time too well organize the interior of the c26, she has plenty of room for two... perhaps as many as four for a long weekend or a bit longer. That's how I see it right now... who knows in the future if I find a lake I just can't seem to leave and the curves of another 30 footer catches my eye... OH WELL.

@Terrence, if you're talking about the Hunter 30 I think you are, you didn't want that boat. Really.
@Mario, if you want a bigger C26, look at something like a Bristol 29.9, another Halsey Herreshoff design roughly contemporary to the Chrysler 26. Pretty sure the Ticon 30 was beamier for her length, plus of course harder to find.
Moving further from the bloodline but staying with the relatively narrow beam and wineglass hull, there's the Pearson 35 from the late 60s, or maybe an Ericson or Alberg 35 from the same period. These actually have surprisingly small interiors, but lots of stowage and moving-around space, a more than ample cockpit, and cockpit lockers that you could sublet. They will all have a much more comfortable motion in a seaway -- you'll be stirred, not shaken. Get a good deal on one, then make me a good deal on your 26, which I'll keep moored right about where it is

Imagine my surprise. The boating season is winding down here in Michigan. I went to check on my boat today. As I was leaving I saw a sweet looking boat on the lift. I drove by to get a closer look and on the side was "Chrysler Yachts T-30". Wish I would have had my camera. The owner has had it 4 years and done a fantastic job fixing it up. He is a Chrysler guy too. He had a C-26 that he sold and missed it so much he bought it back. I will take my camera next time and see if I can find it in the yard.

Was that a fixed keel boat? Ocean worthy?
On a lake for day sails and even overnight stays aboard the C-22 is great. If the 1st mate wasn't into it so much (thats putting it mildly) I would have a C-16 and race it. The TMI 30 looks like a very nice boat and I know it was built by the same people in the same place as all the prior Chryslers, so a rose is a rose by any name. Before I would buy one I would want a sea trial. I still have mixed feelings about going bigger. We started in March on the coast and most boats over 30' seem to have stayed docked or motor sail. The convinance of a swing keel on the coast must make sailing so enjoyable. (now you know why Windward trailers his C-26 to the coast) And I'm just waiting to see Holiday's and hp18carr's C-26 turn out before starting on mine. That leads to the cost, some how I don't think you can just build yourself a trailer like most of us have and drag it home to the driveway to do repair work. It has an 11' beam, it would take up the whole driveway. Even the cost of a harness to make mast climbing a hobbie is something to think about.
I could tell the 1st mate this a minimum time rule before moving up in size and we already broke it once. I would figure atleast 5 yrs before moving to a non-trailerable boat.

I am a proud owner of a 1981 TMI T30.
I am currently in Man-O-War Cay, Abacos, Bahamas.
Is she sea-worthy - definitely. Was in a passage from Marathon Florida to Key west and got hit by an 'unexpected' storm - Noaa did not see it coming. Lost the wind indicator at 45mph as we headed out to 600' waters - the channel is littered with crab and lobster trap bouy, if you have never been there. Dealt with the storm for about 6 hours. The boat was remarkable. Went to Texas for the monthg of October 2012. While we were away, Hurricane Sandy hit Man-O-War Caye as a Category 1. Broke the boat from the moorings and pushed her up into the mangroves and onto shore. Took a tug to pull her out as the crane could not reach. Scraped some of the paint and fiberglass a little but other than a shredded genoa, she is in great shape. Will be heading to Marathon to effect repairs now. Many people have come to me asking 'who made that boat?' They were amazed that the hull was not crushed or breached. A Hunter would not have made it!

I had the pleasure of sailing the C-30 of Bob's (Little River Sc.) and can tell you its one of the better 30' sailboats I've been on. Very well thought out boat.
I know Bob has done alot of work to his C-30 and if he is asking 10.5k its well worth it.
I also passed a C-30 just out side of Titusville Forida a week ago but couldn't get them on the VHF.
