I have owned my 1980 C-26 for two years and the noise from the coax inside the mast has pushed my sanity to the edge. I have heard that you can put zip ties on the cable every couple of feet, leaving long tails on them to cut the noise. Has anyone tried this or have a better suggestion?

Just an update. I dismasted the boat and rewired the coax and anchor light wire. I placed zip ties in a star pattern every few feet along the cable, this appears to have eliminated all internal mast noise.

Hope someone else will find this useful.
