It was cold and did not splash the 26 but took the kayak out yesterday.

Sailing stands alone, but that doesn't mean a lot can't be said for getting down real close to the water. Drifting through the morning fog only a few yards from shore the only sounds the dip of your paddle and nature's awakening. Close your eyes for a moment and you seem to become part of it.

I'm with you there, Guys!

My buddy and I do a paddle along Lake Michigan shore in the morning and it's typically foggy and calm. Not sure where you are or even if you haven't travelled back in time to the prehistoric.

So very cool!

On the Hudson river 30 miles south of Albany near the Rip Van Winkle bridge and yes I do like to get close to nature Sailing, Kayak, hiking in the woods for the silence I am probably what people call a tree hugger.

Painted the bottom today and first mate got some cleaning done I got the blocks mounted for the lazy jacks and made some adjustments to the trailer. I should be putting the outboard on over the weekend still on track for May 1.

We have an 18' tandem Kayak and enjoy that too on the smaller lakes in our area. have yet to tow it behind the C-22 but we plan to

I lived a little south of you in Kingston, NY for a few years and really liked it a lot. Would love to get back up there. Dodging those big tankers on the Hudson was a bit hairy at times though. Wind had died and I had trouble getting the outboard going once I remember with one of those bearing down on me. Ruined a perfectly good pair of shorts.

That is why my vhf is at the ready and we have a good repoir with them and if we see or hear them we ask where they want us and at 1 point one of us sailors was dead in the water and they were in the channel at the side and expected him to pass when he saw the boat he slowed and maneuvered along side put fenders over the side of the barge asked for a line and secured vessel and slowly brought the boat to the end of the creek at the edge of the channel and let him spring off and using momentum got out of the channel to await help.
