I have a 1980 C26, ever since I bought the boat she has had lee helm.

I have retuned the boat and it's much better, but I would prefer to have a little weather helm. Has anyone else had this problem? Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I am also having problems getting a good shape out of my main, could this be related?

Mast rake can effect helm, as can relation of swing keel (angle) to sail area, how much "power" you have in which sail, main or jib, can as well.

The article does a good job of explaining all the forces that can effect the balance of the boat.
