Exciting for me anyway. There was no wind at home all day, figured I'd go out, I was surprised.

Yep, I was about two miles out for the second time that evening, I covered more than 10 miles that night, GPS batteries died before I made it back to the dock. That Wednesday evening was even better, 18 to 25mph winds, swells to five feet, but we stayed inside the WALL. I was out with two students here from Taiwan that had never been sailing before, they loved it, "next time we go out on lake"

At 18-25 mph winds you are in over my pay grade!!!!!! Good goin' sauerleigh!!!

For 5 weeks earlier this summer we had a young man from South Africa staying with us. I took him out once, his first time also, and while it was fun the winds were pretty light, 5 mph or thereabouts.

Looks like you had a great time. I was able to jump aboard and sail on a Cal27 in Miami and thought it was a nice boat.

I did get to show him the difference when we got the C-26 there and he looked something like this  and "wow" seemed to come every few minutes.

I've found that Cal owners are as 'tightly focused' as us Chrysler guys..very active as a group !
