Mutineer deck/cockpit removal help?

Hey there fellow Chrysler owners. Hope someone has experience with a major restoration of a Mutineer c-15. I was given this boat about 4 years ago with the intention of getting it into the water right away for me and my sons however, shortly thereafter I picked up a Snapdragon 26 & the Mutineer got put on the back burner. I just got the wifely ultimatum... either do something with "that thing" or get rid of it!
I have a few glass repairs to make on the upper hull and would like to attack them from the inside. I know how to remove the keel box cover if necessary and should have no problem cracking the seam, but before I start removing trim and rivets I would like to find out if the deck/cockpit cap is glued to the hull on the underside. Has anyone attempted this repair before? Any tips?
Also, I was looking at the mast for stepping and I have the hinge plate on the boat but it looks like I should have an opposite hinge plate on the bottom of the mast as well. Is that correct? Is there a good place to get one or am going to have to fabricate one myself?
Any help is greatly appreciated.
