It's dat 'ol devil, trying to trip me up again!!! He put this one right in my back yard. I should be looking at nasty pictures, like a normal guy when given the midnight boot, not sailboats on CL!

Sorry man, it's an affliction. Had I know I would not be in the same shoes. LOL! Not sure if it is sailing in general or a Chrysler thing. Maybe a stuff dose of both!

I called it, a C-22 or a C-26 would pop up just around the corner. Vela, a C22 to order. Nice and clean, still needs a little something somewthing for a winter project and your ready to sail this spring.
Now the clincher here is the owner will take $1500 and you will have to take it home with you. Then that 9.9 hp long-shaft outboard for $350 that you will also find on CL. Switch over the titles on the trailer and the boat. And there you have it a new C22 to be loved and adored sitting in your driveway.
Devil had nothing to do with it. You have to look up for this kind of luck.
Thanks

Put a swap/bid in on the C22.

The wif is gonna kill me if it goes thru, but it couldn't be helped. Mast step is there, but mast was rewired and he hadn't gotten around to reinstalling. Heck, he's got an orig trailer in great shape too! Wish me luck!!!!
Another guy with a big boat and a little driveway, LOL

If you do not get it, I have a McGregor 25 foot 1985 for sail. Same price $2,000 comes with 9.9 force ( same as Chrysler 9.9 ) Cabin like the C-22 an cockpit like C-20. Sails an questions like new, go to the McGregor website and check it out.

Bob, When I was over to visit, the wif caught me eyeballing your Mac! Very nice boat ... and price too. Unfortunately(or fortunately?) the C-22 deal didn't go through. I was fishing for a swap plus cash bid involving the DS2, with the rationale that there would still be only one boat at the house. Always being considerate of the better half's wishes, that's me! He didn't bite and my son let the cat out of the bag about me possibly bringing home another 'surprise'. To say the least, she, and the kids were not enthused about sharing a driveway again. (must give it a little more time)
...so thanks all for wishing me luck. I'll take it that the outcome was indeed a 'lucky' one!

It is a Chrysler addiction and I have it too and tomorrow mine is coming home and then I will have boat and dinghy outside and dinghy in the back room to work on.

Bruce:
If you are serious about a swap for a c22 send me a message. I love my boat but the lake where I keep it is very small. I really like the ds2 and am quite serious about a trade. I just pulled my boat from the lake yesterday and she is on the trailer ready to go. I am up in the Detroit area quite often for work so a swap would be easy.

Dang, I totally forgot that you had expressed some interest in a C-20 last year or I would have shot you a note. Unfortunately she was sold earlier this month. It was truly a great boat. The only issue 'I' had with her was that the trailer did not have much time left on it in my op. One side had already been repaired with angle iron and the back crossmember had been rewelded.
There were also the constant driveway real estate complaints too. The kids are both in their twenties now, so as soon as the traffic starts to clear, there will be another Chrysler in the driveway (I've already warned them).
Good luck in your search, I would say that a right priced C-20 is definitely worth a bit of a road trip if you see something you like. If I found another for the price I paid for mine, it would be Deja Vu all over again for the fam.
