I've purchased a new tiller for the C-22 that's 44" long. It almost as long as the cockpit. What Length works for you other Chrysler C-22 owners?

Welcome to the forum Regie!
Glad to have you around!
I do not know the exact length off the top of my head but I do know I like a longer tiller. For me the angle upwards the tiller goes is more important such that it clears the seats and peoples legs! Mine currently does not and I always have to lift it or I hit someone! LOL!

I am trying to find something locally to make a tiller handle with, hopefully tomorrow. Any suggestions on what I can use and where to find it? I was hoping for some national chain like Lowes to have some type of hickory or oak handle. Thanks

I have seen wheel barrel handles used. Not pretty, but functional and strong.

EE's first tiller was an Adze handle. Kinda like these

beefier than a wheel barrow handle and has a bit of a tiller feel..

Thanks for the link.
The Boy Scout Troop has been looking for leather sheaths for their axes.
Funny thing, places that sell axes, don't usually sell sheaths.

I think a wooden post hole digger handle would work. I know they are made to take a lot of stress.
