Jib sheet rigging.

Postby astrorad » Mon Apr 11, 2016 1:46 pm

Who and how is everyone attaching sheeting blocks to the toerail for the jib? Since I haven't even sailed my boat yet I need to know if I should get some snap shackles to attach the swivel blocks to the toerail so I can move them fore and aft to achieve proper sail shape and angle.

I'm really interested in this as a 1 year owner of a C22. I believe from my internet research (always true ;) ) that the position should be at angles determined by size/shape of the jib/genoas that are "90 degrees to angle from luff"??

I would be interested in this as well. I just picked up my C22 and haven't sailed it yet, but the previous owner rigged all lines to the cockpit with deck organizers and it seems they "borrowed" the jib sheet blocks to use as turning blocks for the halyards at the mast step. It's not clear to me how this would work. The angles from the clew of the jib to the deck organizers don't seem right.
