I've thought of having my local boat bimini top shop make one. They bend SS pipe for biminis.

Other than the mast support I don't have a stern rail.
Personally the way I use my boat for day sailing and an yearly trip to the Great Lakes, I don't want a stern rail, it would make access from the swim ladder into the boat harder.

I have no stern rail and remove the stern mast support after stepping. I'd agree it's probably not necessary.
