Chrysler Pirateer Tiller and Rudder

I recently purchased a Chrysler Pirateer which has required some work as it had been stored for quite some time. I have now sailed it several times here in Michigan and it is a blast.

The tiller and rudder are not original to the boat (I believe) as they are not like the pictures of the Pirateers I've seen. However, it is quite functional, but the tiller rubs the top of the transom and sits at an awkward angle for sailing.

My question is whether or not the tiller and rudder assemblies are interchangable with the Chrysler Buccaneer. I have an opportunity to purchase a Buccaneer rudder and tiller that look like the Pirateer's.

Thanks for any imput. I can post pictures of the tiller and rudder that came with the boat; perhaps they are correct for a later year than mine (1978).

I'd be interested in purchasing an original tiller and rudder if someone has one for sale :D
