Hi Wag4513 ,
I can see in your avatar that you have modifie the tiller of your C22 and the rail of the sail , That seem to be a gog idea for a bigger cokpit , Is this had a influence on the sterring of the boat ?

Patrick:
I don't know. The boat was set up that way when I bought her and I haven't sailed on any other C-22s. The prior owner moved the rudder to the stern and built rudder head out of 3/8 stainless steel.
I suspect the added weight on the stern has an affect. I'm looking for ways to move weight forward. The battery is going to move forward and I am thinking of getting a good set of jumper cables and using the wires to connect the motor to the battery (electric start and an alternator).
Then I am going to use a tiller extender so I can sit up by the cabin. I'll see what effect this has.
The prior owner used the original traveler track and built the bracket you see in the picture to hold the track and traveler. I have added a Harken traveler with a ball bearing car to replace the original car.

For myself I had to install a tiller extension so we can sit more comfortebly.
