I’m wondering, has anyone ever used their head compartment for a shower. In my boat the bulkheads are clad with Formica. I don’t think it would hurt anything to wet them but I’m hesitant to try it.

Others have looked at doing that before, the consensus was you would be putting water in an area that has exposed wood. I believe the base of the wood compression post for the mast would be exposed to water in that area, if that’s the case it’s not a good idea, you might install a small sealed catch basin under the floor with a pump to drain overboard. Try useing the search function, maybe you can find a solution. I use a hand shower in the cockpit.
