It is the one starting with CBC - that's the code for "Chrysler Boat Corporation", the 76 denotes a 1976 model, the "H" tells you which month of the year it was made -

Not sure about the other number myself - anybody ?

Slane,

It's Chrysler's serial number.

On my pre-1973 Man-o-War, that's all I have on it. No hull ID, only a serial number.

I still have not received my boat registration number from the DNR yet because I did not know the difference when I first attempted to register it.

They say it is in process now, but I have been waiting since August. Oh, well it's not like I'm going to sail it anymore this year!

Mine is named after my wife Michele. The guy I bought the boat from never sailed her, but was going to name it Seashell. Coincidently, his girlfriend's name was also Michelle. I liked the name, but wanted to put my own twist on the spelling.
