The other topic lead me to ask you if you ground your C26 swing keel? I am relucant to do it because the retracted keel is still a bit lower than boat bottom, so the pivot pin and housing handle the stress.
BTW I think it's a dumbass design idea to have the keel not fully retracted, imo.
