Hello,

I'm trying to find a detailed cross section of the c-26.
I want to know the exact dimensions of the keel reletive to the rest of the boat and of the keel itself.
I am going to start working on a hydraulic lift system instead of the winch and cable.

I agree! Hydraulic? the keel is not that heavy to lift with the winch!

It's not the weight.
I need a project and I want to get rid of the cable in the water. I know some people like the scream of it at higher speeds but I would rather listen to the wind.

So I thought I would dabble with that.

I never hear mine, I think the one ive put is a little bit bigger than original.

The drawing of the keel location and shape is mostly accurate, but the representation of the cable seems to show it running from the winch to the keel head. It runs from the winch to the middle of the keel.

Looking at some of these pics, is it just me or does it seem like the mainsail is somewhat small for a 26 foot boat?

yes the C26 have a modest sailplan, expecially on the main. The boom not extending in the cockpit is nice, no danger to get hit

My head says my boom must be longer than yours.

The trick is to not steer standing on the last step of the ladder, everywhere else it's safe:P

But that's the only place I can avoid the autopilot/tiller enema.
