We made our first overnight trip to a nearby cove on the St. Johns River about 3 miles south of the Shands bridge on the west side of the river. Except for the realization that the front v-berth needs some additional foam to make it comfortable enough to sleep in, it went perfect. We motored there (a ten mile trip) Friday evening due to a shortage of time and very light winds. We sailed back the next morning with a steady 10-15 kt breeze and temps in the low 60's. Here are some sunset (as we motored there) and sunrise pictures from the anchorage.

Sounds (and looks) great.

Maybe the best part was as the wife crawled back into the v-berth at about 2 in the morning, she comes in head first and crawls all the way to the front of the boat, which of course gets smaller and smaller, for a few seconds she got her legs crossed up under her and was stuck, sort of like the Grench climbing down the chimney, I must have laughed for ten minutes
