Hi all again,
I have a suunto compass, as seen here.




Its about 4 inches in diameter, close to a sphere, with mounting points on each side. For scale, that is a c22 window I'm replacing next to it. I have some brass strapping that I was going to use to make a mount. However, looking at the cockpit, I can't figure out where to put it. I'd like it out of way, so no one will snag on it, and visible to the helmsman. Anyone have a good install point? Or should I cut the cabin wall and bury it half way?

I have a compass that is mounted to the cockpit just starboard of the companion way next to the knot meter.

I however remove it and leave it put away most of the time and only get it out when I have a need for it. That way it is out of the way most of the time.
