Well,
Since we've been teased with all the wonderful sunny photos of Southern Florida, I have added 4 shots to my gallery. 3 of the Port of Everett where Destiny is birthed and one of the two ladies. Lady Jo and Lady Di!
All work has stopped on Lady Di. Go figure! LOL!
The last four on this page
My Site
The Everett Marine will, maybe once a year get a thin coating of ice however I've never seen it get thick enough to support snow and turn white!

Thanks KS,
Yeah, a bit chilly here.
Had a friend drop by with a big cummins deisel truck and winch to pull my little Ranger out of the snow! My wife was so thankfull that now we do not have to share the 4X4 Explorer! I think my buddy just came by to show off and play with his truck! LOL!!
Anytime you are in Washinton, come on by!! We are North of Seattle by about 30 miles!

Just saw the news and I am feeling really bad for you guys, it must be really cold up in America cuz there be lots of pastey faced snowbirds heading south on the Overseas Highway. Hey EE they be back down island again, must be the cheap ass gas or its real cold north of you.

Scott we have the same but every winter. How many of those inboards are gonna have a frozen block? One of the marina's here had 4 so far because people waited too long and the water froze in the block.
Expensive repair. I will get some pictures of my boats under the blanket of
snow.

Yeah, I hear ya about the frozen blocks!
Rest assured, Destiny is a steady 44 degrees in her main state room! We open all cabinets and cubbards that have any access to water including the access to the block. We run the hot water heater too. That keeps the Lazerette dry and warm. Given the fresh water cooling and heating we are very carefull to keep her open and warm air flowing!
I've seen blocks freeze up and crack!!!! Not cool on the wallet!!

You bet, just need to know where you would like me to email it too.
By the way, all these photos are unedited. They go straight from my camera to the site with the exception of compression. No clipping, cropping, saturation, or color balance changes at all.
Shoot me an email address via IM or post here and I'll email you a copy of the origional sized photo.

Glad to hear you have Destiny covered as far as heat and fresh water cooling but I bet those cruisers in the photo's did not think of that but they can't sail either. We have to consider their well being as well. I have been
watching the weather out your way and it looks like things are going to get better. Us sailor's know how to have a better outlook on life. Hope your holiday went well and My GetawayII got some cool stuff (solar charger and mooring bouy) so she wasn't left out of the holiday. Have a great day.

Hey from the East side and Merry Christmas to everyone!
Work has stopped on my project boat also, and just keeping up with the snow has been difficult. Try to keep it from piling up on my tarps and making blocks of ice that are a pain to get out of the cockpit area...
Here is a link to what we have in Spokane as of last week, it all came in one storm and it's been snowing n blowin since, the horses sound like little bells when they shake...

Hey, something in common besides our boats, ICE in the cockpit helps keep the booze cold in the tropical sun......but we put in in the cooler

Scott,
Looks like things are warming up for you and I am praying that you don't have to deal with the flooding. My thoughts are with you.

Thanks Lyle,
Fortunately I do not live in a flood zone and am only impacted minimally!
All this weather does expose any leaks you have though!!
Guess Im glad I'm not trying to go anywhere, all roads leading out of Western Washington are closed!
Your thoughts and prayers are appreciated! I think they worked! Well for me anyway!
