And a big affirmative from here about the comment that the keel cable should never be slack.
I changed mine in the last year and used the Chrysler manual in the document section. It even states what the angle of the keel is with a certain amount of turns on the winch.
It's a document in C22 section ...

c22 table replacement
Hi all, hope you are all getting filled with fine salt air.
So, my table is a little rotted at the hull, and generally in crappy shape. I was going to just get a sheet of properly sized laminate, cut to the correct form, and plop it in. Then I thought, wouldn't it look nice to put a sheet of pine ...

Interior looking a little discolored
I mean the plastic on the floor and under the cushions. I'd like to paint it in some fashion. Any recommendations for type and/or color? For instance, can you get away with a spray paint? If not, how do you all care for the plastic parts of your interiors?

Anyone have a cockpit tarp pattern?
Hi all,
Been lurking for a while, and its time to put Dia Dulce to bed for the winter. I would like to do a better job protecting her cockpit and cabin entry from the rain and snow of New England. Would any of you have gone down the path of making your own cabin tarp before? I have tried several ...

FWIW, I lower the mast using the jin pole. I have also made up a total hack support, a couple of crossed 2x4s, an 8' 2x4 raising up from the cross, and two small pieces of wood making a 'v' at the end. The idea is to lower the mast so that it comes down into the 'v'. Once the support has the weight ...

Time to drop the hook ...
So, I have a shameful secret I will now share. I have never used my C22's anchor. Sailing off a mooring, tootle around for a day, then back on the mooring. I know this is *wrong* and plan to make anchor handling the first thing I practice this year.
But, I wanted to ask you all how you deploy your ...

Definition time! ( Oh, and welcome ) The 'cabin sole' is where my feet are when I'm walking inside my c22, right? The lowest point inside, with the keel hinge begin a plate to port. Where is the bilge on a c22? I also had a little water inside, and when I clear it a little more leaks back out of a ...

Heh, I was just going to pm you with questions re: the work you've done on your c22, after coming across the pictures when looking at the hat.
I notice that you have a nice clean and clear access way from the cabin to stbd aft under the cockpit, where the galley would slide. My c22 doesn't have the ...

Mast Support Jig
Hi all,
I just pulled my Dia for the season, and she is going to spend another restful winter in my driveway. My C22 does not have the rear railing, and I was thinking about making a support for the mast back there, probably coupled with something at the bow. Does anyone have a picture or drawing ...

"Once the boat is mostly on the trailer, attach winch cable and crank away. Doable or harebrained?"
Um, I wouldn't do the 'crank away' part. With a couple of floor jacks, and a couple of stands, you should be able to walk the trailer all the way under the boat. When I was painting my bottom, I had ...

Outboard Questiion
Hi All,
I launched Dia Dulce yesterday, and while puttering out to the mooring I noticed that something didn't quite look right on my outboard. My motor is a used Tohatsu 5hp, so I don't have an owner's manual for it. I used it for 5ish trips last year, and she didn't seem to have any problems ...
